Dental Composite Fillings
Our practice has been “mercury free” since 1999. Dr. St. Clair does not believe that silver/amalgam fillings are of benefit to your physical or dental health. Silver/amalgam fillings have been banned in many European countries for years. While they are still available in this country, many dentists have chosen not to provide them to their patients because other materials are available. The alternatives are composite resin (tooth-colored) fillings, porcelain and gold. Although many people cringe at the thought and cost of gold, done well, they can be a nearly lifelong restoration. Gold was the material used in the two fillings Dr. St. Clair has. The majority of the fillings done in our practice are composite resin. Here are some composite fillings done by Dr. St. Clair.
